Do you know the truth about the EU?

Our Message at the last General Election

We may have had our last ever British General Election, if Parliament ratifies a seventh treaty in the next few years. This will abolish Britain as a nation.

The EU Constitution is a blueprint for a dictatorship. EU laws already passed (eg the Civil Contingencies Act, the EU arrest warrant) empower the EU to be a police state. The 103,000 EU regulations already passed, when fully enforced, will close hundreds of thousands more businesses and tightly control our private lives.

With this message UKIP could inform the nation why we must leave Europe immediately. We should also stand for the restoration of our democracy, halting massive waste in government, and the repeal of all EU regulations. There are 205 independant nations outside Europe; Britain, with the 4th most successful economy in the world, will make it handsomely as a full and free nation.

Manifesto

Britain will cease to exist as an independent nation when the seventh and final EU Treaty is signed without our consent, as were the other six treaties. Our government could do this in two years.

The 2005 British General Election could prove to have been our last. You may never be given a chance to vote to leave the EU.

David Noakes, UKIP's 2005 Candidate for Truro.

There are 205 nations outside the European Union; if they can make it, Britain with the 4th strongest economy in the world, will make it handsomely.

As we've got deeper into Europe over the last 33 years democracy has been reduced to prepare us for the EU.

Our politicians now ignore our wishes, they lie to us, are choking us with EU regulations, waste half our taxes, and are breaking the British Constitution by illegally abolishing our nation. It is the EU way. You can see it. Do you like it?

Isn't it already a one party state of politicians at Westminster?

Only UKIP will take us out of the EU, by repealing the 1972 European Communities Act. We'll reverse the decline in our democracy by taking powers away from politicians and returning them to the British people.

But only in Westminster can UKIP still repeal the seven EU treaties (all signed without our consent) and regain our independence. Once the EU Constitution is ratified, its too late.

The EU will ignore a referendum For 33 years we've been denied a vote on the EU. Don't rely on the often broken promise of an EU referendum.

Voting UKIP in this General Election is our last chance to vote to stay out.

A vote for the Labour, Conservative and Lib-Dem parties is a vote for the EU, and has been for 33 years; they are all determined to force us in.

There is no point in tactical voting; the current timetable means a ten month Parliament, after which Brussels rules.

Why we shouldn't be in the EU. We will be under the yoke of a foreign power, ruled by 30 unelected foreign Commissioners, who will control our police, armed forces, and government.

The EU will get our currency reserves, fishing waters, offshore oil, Royal Navy, Air Force, our nuclear weapons etc. permanently. We can never leave.

Labour, Conservatives and the Lib-Dems will be finished as national parties, with powers at the level of county councillors only.

The EU has a weak economy, slower growth, much higher unemployment and national debts which we will pay.

Big governments perform badly. The huge EU is massively corrupt, and has a gravy train to influence its politicians.

The 103,000+ choking EU regulations, on millions of pages, will soon cripple our economy if we stay. We'll get poorer, our lives be tightly controlled.

Under British Common Law, Parliament was our servant. Under EU Corpus Juris, the government is above the law. We are their servants, they can imprison us without evidence or a trial, and stop criticisim of the EU.

The treaties, legal system and Constitution of the EU are frighteningly totalitarian with a sham parliament, very like the old Soviet Union.

All over the world people are fighting for their independence - they know how vital it is. Why did we forget?

The EU Amsterdam Treaty will abolish Cornwall as a county. Our EU "county" is from Lands End to Cheltenham.

We are also fighting for:

The Restoration of our Democracy 1. Ministers who materially breach the British Constitution to be banned from Parliament and await trial by jury.

2. Constitutional limits on Parliament's powers, spending, and staffing levels.

3. Parliament to lose the sole right to legislate - the public to decide which Parliamentary Bills get Royal Assent in an annual ballot. (as in Switzerland)

4. The public empowered to demand a binding referendum on any subject

5. Local councils mandated to ballot the electorate affected by any decision, on receipt of a petition of 1,000 signatures. And are bound by it.

Stop Government Waste Half our taxes, about £220 billion, are wasted. That's £10,000pa for every one at or below the average wage. Its your money. If its difficult to make ends meet, our politicians and their waste are the reason why. Damaging or wasteful government departments and 7,000 quangos costing £40 billion should be closed.

Reverse all EU Regulation. All EU regulations enforced since 1972 should be abolished. Savings to industry - £80billion pa. Then no new regulations without repealing old ones.

Taxes: Stop rip off government. They rip us off at every turn to finance their waste. We should aim to reduce spending from 44% to 25% of National Income (GNP), saving £190 billion. Abolish 1,000's of petty charges and taxes, VAT and Council Tax.

If you want to help, please call us on freephone 0800 107 7920. This may be the last time you can stop your politicians.

Its not them, but you and your wishes that count. Please stand up and be counted.

David Noakes.

Speech to Truro Chamber of Commerce 8th April 2005

Although I've not been in the Burrell theatre before, Derek Burrell was my head master when I was at Truro School. We had a lovely time here, and its great to be back.

UKIP won the whole of Cornwall in the EU elections on June 10th last year. Thank you all. We now have as many MP's in the powerless EU parliament as the Lib-Dems; but only with MP's in Westminster can we withdraw from Europe, so please do the same again this time.

We candidates are standing for Westminster, so I'm answering from that perspective.

The question is: What can your party do for local businesses?

Almost nothing. Parliament plans to ratify the European Union Constitution next year. At that point Parliament's remaining powers are transferred to Brussels and our Parliamentary parties become powerless. So we are voting for perhaps just a ten month parliament before we cease to exist as a nation.

So it really doesn't matter which of the 3 big parties wins this election - if for example, you are keen to get rid of the Labour government, don't bother; on the current timetable Europe will do that for you next year.

Yes, Parliament will have powers at the level of a county council for some months, but under the 1997 Amsterdam Treaty, England is to be broken up into 9 regions. Kent Surrey and Sussex are to be administered from Calais, effectively becoming part of what was France. Cornwall will be administered by the unelected EU Regional Committee in Exeter, who will get their orders direct from Brussels. At that point our Westminster Parliament will be a County Council without a county, ie defunct.

The Labour, Conservative and Lib Dem parties will then cease to exist as national parties, finally achieving parity with Mebyon Kernow. It has been held in EU C of J case C-274/99 that it is illegal to critcise the EU, so we are expecting UKIP to be banned as an illegal party. The EU has made it clear only pan European parties will be recognised (eg. with names like the European Democratic Union). Consequently all us British parties can do almost nothing for you.

How will this affect local business people?

Foretaste of the EU
You've had a foretaste of Europe as we've been going in for 33 years. Some of you may have noticed how our way of life has changed in that time. Democracy has been reduced and withdawn to prepare us for the EU. EU taxes and regulations, which began with Europe's VAT in 1973, make business more and more imposssible. Our Government Ministers now ignore our wishes, and routinely lie to us. For 33 years all three parties have ruthlessly denied us a vote on leaving Europe, and are breaking the British Constitution by illegally abolishing our nation, and our county. It is the EU way. So you've had a foretaste of the EU. Do you like it? Because there's a lot more coming.

EU Constitution
The ratification of the EU Constitution next year is the final step. We will then be ruled by 25, foreign, unelected Commissioners. The powerless EU parliament is a sham. Some pretend we've been joining a United States of Europe; but whereas the USA has a 9 page democratic Constitution; the chillingly undemocratic 4 hundred and 65 page EU Constitution has far more in common with the constitution of the old Soviet Union. I've condensed the main clauses to one page, cross referenced so you can check them with the original, please take one afterwards.

Legislation
80% of Parliaments legislation comes from the EU. Laws the EU has already forced upon us include their Civil Contingencies Act, (where government can seize anything you possess, you have no right to question it), and the EU arrest warrant (imprisonment without production of a warrant, without evidence, no phone call, no solicitor, guilty until you prove you're innocent, no trial by jury. Just a knock on the door in the night and you disappear). British Common Law, where Parliament was our servant, is being replaced by European Corpus Juris, where the government is above the law, and we are its servants. The EU already has the laws of a police state. After ratification, it can enforce them.

EU Regulation
Most economists now agree the EU is economically inferior to the UK, and it won't help local businesses to be part of an inferior economy. But there is much worse to come.

You may have noticed some EU regulations, eg health and safety, but the 103,000 EU regulations already passed, on millions of pages, when enforced, will close hundreds of thousands more businesses, and control our personal lives far more tightly than any nation in history.

The Government's Better Regulation Task Force tells us enforcement of EU regulations is now Britain's largest and fastest growing industry. At 100bn a year its 10 percent of our entire economy; and will eventually strangle it. But don't worry, EU politicians will be immune from the financial suffering that will follow. Enforcement has already taken the total number of government quangos to over 7,000, which cost us more than 40bn a year.

The massively corrupt EU gravy train for politicians will continue unabated, with huge sums of EU expenditure unaccounted for and their auditors refusing to sign their rotten accounts.

Demoralisation
Some of you will have been subject to the deliberate demoralisation campaign that has been run by the EU for many years, aimed at making us believe Britain is incapable of standing alone as an independent nation. This is not true now, but will soon be true. After the Constitution is ratified the EU seizes our North Sea Oil, Royal Navy and Air Force, our currency reserves and our nuclear weapons. Then we won't be able to stand on our own two feet. We'll never get them back, and we'll never be able to leave.

Referendums
The Dutch, who may vote "No" in their referendum, have already been told referendums are not binding on the government, and if they do vote "no" the government will ratify the EU Constitution anyway. The legal position is precisely the same here, although given Parliament's referendum track record it is unlikely we will make it to a referendum. Given the parties breathaking dishonesty over Europe, don't be surprised if Parliament dodges both the Referendum and the EU Constitution issues by merely substituting a seventh and final treaty.

Ballot
Can I ask for a show of hands please? As no one has given us a vote on Europe, can I please ask those of you who don't want to go into the European Union to raise your hands? That's the majority of you. (Count them out loud - 63% of my audience raised their hands) .

The parties and the treaties.
The European Communities Act of 1972 was the enabling Act to abolish our sovereignty. Yet the Conservatives under Ted Heath told us it had nothing to do with sovereignty. We've been lied to about Europe ever since, which is why some of what I am saying will be new to some of you.

All three Parliamentary parties are in favour of Europe, the Lib-Dems being the most openly enthusiastic. The EU Constitution was the seventh and final EU treaty, all seven were signed without our consent.

To avoid spending their lives behind bars, Ministers have abolished the crime of treason, because legally, that is precisely what they are committing.

Examination of those seven treaties shows how utterly we have failed to change the nature of the EU over the last 33 years. The policy of the Conservative Party, of being at the heart of Europe, and renogtiating to improve it, is already a 33 year long history of failure.

The leadership of the three parties have their own agenda; clearly their loyalty is not to our nation, to our democracy, to our counties or even to their own parties, as they will abolish all of this. Their utter contempt for their members and voters, whose wishes they ignore, is plainly shown by their 33 year long refusal to give them a vote on the most important issue in a thousand years, the abolition of our nation.

A vote for any of the three big political parties is, and has been for 33 years, a vote for the EU superstate. Many voters find its already a one party state of politicians at Westminster.

What can be done?
Is there a way we can do anything for local businesses? Or any party implement their own polices in defiance of the EU?

Yes; there is one way only, and it can only be done before the EU Constitution is ratified next year.

By repealing the European Communities Act of 1972, and coming out of Europe. But none of the 3 parties plan to repeal it; they've had 33 years to do so, and they clearly never will.

Our policies
Only UKIP will repeal the EU Communities Act of 1972 and be clean out of Europe.

We'll restore British democracy, fix immigration and help relieve the overcrowding in Truro, repeal the EU regulations, which will be an enormous boon for affected Cornish businesses, and save thousands from closure in the future.

We can abolish 7,000 quangos. Our rip off government, 80% EU controlled, wastes half our taxes. In the NHS, of the 63bn funding only 12bn, just 17%, gets through to doctors, nurses and patients; the rest is lost in the bureaucracy. We can fix all this if parliament's powers are restored.

I'm also fighting for an annual ballot for the public to decide which Parliamentary Bills get Royal Assent. (like in Switzerland). I believe councils should be forced to ballot people affected by their decisons.

Summary
I ask for help from all of you to get out of Europe while we still can. If you do nothing you will be imprisoned in the European "Soviet" Union for the remainder of your lifetime.

Thank you again for making UKIP the largest party in Cornwall last year.

This is our last ever British General Election, unless that is you please lend me your vote to withdraw from the EU immediately. Outside we will be the 4th strongest economy amongst the world's 205 independent nations, and we will make it handsomely.

Thank you.

Won't be EU'd again
